The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the final answer key and results for the UGC NET December 2024 exam on its official website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The UGC NET December 2024 exam was conducted in January 2025, with the provisional answer key published on January 31, 2025. Candidates were allowed to raise objections until February 3, 2025, by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per objection.

- January 27
Along with the provisional answer key, NTA also released the question paper and recorded responses. All objections submitted by candidates are being reviewed by a panel of subject experts. If a challenge is deemed valid, necessary revisions will be made to the final answer key. However, NTA will not inform candidates individually about the acceptance or rejection of their objections.
The UGC NET December 2024 final result will be based on the updated answer key. Additionally, subject-wise and category-wise cut-off marks are expected to be published alongside the results.

The UGC NET December examination was conducted to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor
- Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD
- Admission to PhD only in Indian universities and colleges
