The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final merit list for UPSC CDS I 2024. Candidates who participated in the Combined Defence Services Examination can view and download the merit list from the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

A total of 590 candidates have been included in the final merit list for UPSC CDS I 2024. Of these, 470 are male and 120 are female candidates, who will join the 121st Short Service Commission (Men) and 35th Short Service Commission (Women) (Non-Technical) Courses commencing in April 2025.
According to the official notification, “The list for the 121st Short Service Commission (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course also includes names of candidates previously recommended based on the same examination results for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Courses.”
The UPSC clarified that the results of the Medical Examination have not been considered in preparing the merit list. Additionally, the commission stated, “The candidature of all candidates is provisional. Verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualification will be conducted by the Army Headquarters.”
It is noteworthy that the candidates’ marks will be available on the Commission’s website within 15 days of the final result declaration and will remain accessible for 30 days.

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to download the results:
- Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
- On the home page, go to the ‘What’s new’ section and click on the link that reads, “Final Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024 (OTA)”
- The PDF containing the names of qualifying candidates will open on the next window.
- Check your roll number and name on the PDF.
- Download the result PDF and keep a printout of the same for future reference.
