The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have begun an online application process to recruit 191 candidates under various positions under the Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 09/2026.
Eligible candidates can apply for this recruitment from 5th November, 2026. The last date to apply for the recruitment is 4th December 2026. Candidates are requested to go through the detailed notification thoroughly to know about eligibility criteria, age, application fee and selection process.
RRB Isolated Categories Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details
There are a total of 7 posts under various departments of railway. Check out below the detailed vacancy notice –
Chief Law Assistant – 17 Posts
Public Prosecutor – 21 Posts
Senior Publicity Inspector – 08 Posts
Junior Translator (Hindi) – 79 Posts
Staff and Welfare Inspector – 27 Posts
Scientific Assistant (Training) – 03 Posts
Lab Assistant Grade III (Chemist & Metallurgist) – 36 Posts
The total number of vacancies has been declared as 191. The maximum number of vacancies has been declared for the post of Junior Translator (Hindi) i.e. 79. The vacancies shall be divided between the various Railway Recruitment Boards.
Important Dates for RRB 2026 Recruitment
Computer Based Test (CBT) and other exam dates will be announced by the Railway Recruitment Boards individually.
Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
As per different posts, different academic qualifications and age criteria are applicable. For legal posts, candidates should qualify the law degree and experience criteria as specified. Candidates applying for junior translator post should qualify the Hindi & English language criteria as specified.
For lab, publicity, welfare and scientific assistant posts, candidates should qualify the respective academic criteria and experience as mentioned in the notification.
Different age criteria are applicable as per different posts. Different age criteria are mentioned in the notification. Age should be calculated as on January 1st, 2027. Age relaxation will be granted to eligible reserved category candidates as per the government rules.

Selection Procedure
Candidates will be shortlisted for Computer Based Test followed by relevant skill test. As per posts, translation tests or other tests will be conducted.
After the shortlisting, candidates will be called for document verification and medical test. Final selection will be done as per the recruitment rules and requirements set by the RRBs.
