The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department had released the detailed notification for the recruitment of 2721 teaching/educational posts under the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Recruitment Test (APTRT-2026) commonly called as AP DSC.
The candidates can apply for various posts like School Assistant posts, Secondary Grade Teacher posts, Special Education Teacher, Principal, Post Graduate Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher, Physical Director and Physical Education Teacher, etc., by referring to the official notification which was released on 5th November 2026.
The online application will start from 11th November 2026 up to 30th November 2026. The Computer Based Exam will be conducted from 20th December 2026 to 13th January 2027.
AP DSC Recruitment Notification 2026 Tentative Vacancies
The tentative vacancies have been released for the recruitment of various teaching/educational posts in the government schools, special education schools and residential educational societies in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The maximum vacancies being offered for the recruitment is for Secondary Grade Teachers (1205 Posts). While 906 posts have been offered for School Assistant posts.

The important dates for the examination are as follows:
- Release of Detailed Notification: 5th November 2026
- Start of Online Application: 11th November 2026
- Last Date to Apply: 30th November 2026
- Computer Based Test: 20th December 2026 to 13th January 2027
The examination will be conducted in the online mode. Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for any updates related to the exam schedule, admit card, etc.
Eligibility and Fees
The candidates should have the required qualification as per the post they are applying. For School Assistant and SGT Posts, the candidates should have the required academic and training qualification as well as the required AP TET/CTET Qualification.
For PGT, TGT, Principal and Physical Education Posts, the candidates should have the required qualification along with experience.
The age criteria and relaxation will be as per the notification and relevant rules issued by Andhra Pradesh Government. Candidates can refer to the eligibility criteria for respective posts.
The application fees mentioned is Rs. 1000/- per post. Candidates should refer to the respective notification for the payment details.
AP DSC 2026 Selection Process
The selection process will be done via Computer Based Test. Candidates will be selected based on the exam pattern and selection criteria of their respective posts.
