The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has initiated the registration process for the UPSC IFS Exam 2024 on February 14, 2024, at upsc.gov.in. Candidates interested in applying for the Indian Forest Service Examination can access the application portal through the official UPSC website.
The deadline for application submission is March 5, 2024. The correction window will open on March 6 and close on March 12, 2024. The Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination is scheduled for May 26, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for the IFS must possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology. Alternatively, candidates can hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament, or declared deemed universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. The candidate’s age should be between 21 to 32 years as of August 1, 2024.
Application Fee:
Candidates applying for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay an application fee of ₹100/-. The fee can be paid by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or using net banking facilities of the State Bank of India, or through Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit card/UPI Payment, or via Internet Banking of any Bank. Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
