UPSC CMS 2025: Candidates must complete their one-time registration (OTR) before applying.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close registrations for the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2025 today, March 11. Interested candidates can apply through the official websites upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.
Before submitting their applications, all candidates must have their OTR profiles created.
This examination aims to fill approximately 705 vacancies across the following categories:
Category-I:
- Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service – 226 vacancies
Category-II:
General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi – 20 vacancies
Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways – 450 vacancies
General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council – 9 vacancies

UPSC CMS 2025 eligibility criteria
Age Limit:
- For all posts except ‘Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Services,’ candidates must be under 32 years of age as of August 1, 2025.
- For the ‘Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Services’ post, the upper age limit is 35 years as of August 1, 2025.
- Reserved category candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.
Educational Qualification: UPSC CMS 2025
- Candidates must have passed both the written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination.
- Those who have appeared or are yet to appear for the final MBBS examination can apply provisionally but must provide proof of passing within the time frame specified in the exam notification.
- Candidates who have not yet completed their compulsory rotating internship are also eligible to apply. However, if selected, they will be appointed only after completing the internship.
Additionally, candidates must meet the required physical and medical fitness standards as per the guidelines for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2025.
Application Fee:
- ₹200 for general candidates.
- SC, ST, PwBD, and female candidates are exempt from the application fee.
