SSC JE 2024 Final Vacancies Released: 1701 Posts to Be Filled. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the final vacancies list for the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2024. Candidates can check the detailed notice on the SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
According to the final list, a total of 1701 posts will be filled, distributed as follows:
- SC Category: 322 posts
- ST Category: 165 posts
- OBC Category: 480 posts
- EWS Category: 171 posts
- Unreserved Category: 563 posts
In addition, the Commission has opened the Option-cum-Preference window for candidates who appeared in Paper-II of the SSC JE 2024 exam. Applicants are required to submit their preferences for posts and organizations through their login page on the SSC website under the “My Application” tab. The deadline to submit preferences is December 13, 2024.
Important Notice:
Candidates who do not submit their Option-cum-Preference within the given timeframe will forfeit their chance to be included in the final merit list or selection. No additional opportunity will be provided for submission.
Paper-II Details: SSC JE 2024
The Paper-II examination was held on November 6, 2024, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. It was a 2-hour exam consisting of 100 questions with a maximum score of 300 marks. The paper included questions from the following sections:
- Part A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural)
- Part B: General Engineering (Electrical)
- Part C: General Engineering (Mechanical)
Each incorrect answer in Paper-II carries a negative marking of 1 mark.
The provisional answer key and results for Paper-II are still awaited. Candidates are advised to regularly check the SSC website for updates.
