SSC GD Constable Exam 2025

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened the registration process for the SSC GD Constable Exam 2025 on September 5, 2024. Candidates interested in applying for Constable (GD) positions in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy roles in the Narcotics Control Bureau can access the direct application link on the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.

The registration process will close on October 14, 2024, with the deadline for online fee payments set for October 15, 2024. A correction window will be available from November 5 to November 7, 2024. The computer-based examination is expected to be held in January-February 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the examination, candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board or University on or before the cut-off date of January 1, 2025. Additionally, candidates must be between 18 and 23 years of age as of January 1, 2025, meaning they should have been born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2007.

SSC GD Constable: Selection Process

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination consisting of one Objective-Type Paper with 80 questions, each carrying 2 marks. The total duration of the test is 60 minutes.

The Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages: (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu, and (xiii) Urdu.

SSC GD Constable: Application Fee

The application fee is ₹100. However, women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempt from paying the fee. Payments can be made online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay debit cards. For further details, candidates can visit the official SSC website.
