Additionally, SBI has begun the registration process for recruitment of Sportspersons in Officers/Clerical cadre across 8 sports disciplines from July 24. The application deadline for these positions is August 14, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria: SBI Recruitment

- Officers (Sportsperson): Should have represented the country in an International Games during last 3 years.
- Clerical (Sportsperson): Should have represented the State in National event or the District in State level event or the University in an Inter University event with distinction or if he was a member of the Combined Universities Team with distinction.
- Economist: A master’s degree in Economics / Econometrics / Statistics / Applied Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Mathematical Economics / Financial Economics, with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university/institute of repute.
- Defence Banking Advisor – Army: Not specified in the official notification.
Selection Process: SBI Recruitment
The selection process for sportsperson recruitment at SBI will involve shortlisting and an assessment test. Candidates will be evaluated based on three parameters: assessment of recognized sports achievements, general intelligence/knowledge of the game/personality, and activeness and physical fitness.
For the positions of Economist and Defence Banking Advisor, the selection will be based on an interview. This interview or interaction will carry a total of 100 marks, with the qualifying marks to be determined by the bank.
For the VP Wealth, Manager, and other posts, the selection process includes shortlisting followed by an interview-cum-CTC (Cost to Company) negotiations.
Application Fees: SBI Recruitment
The application fee and intimation charges for all the aforementioned posts are ₹750/- for General, EWS, and OBC candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the fees.
