The Punjab Police will close the Constable Recruitment 2025 application window on March 13 at 11:55 PM. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can submit their forms through the recruitment tab on the official website punjabpolice.gov.in. Candidates are advised to apply early to avoid any last-minute technical issues.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,746 vacancies, distributed as follows:
Constables in Armed Police Cadre – 485 vacancies
Constables in District Police Cadre – 1,261 vacancies
Punjab Police Constable recruitment 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must have 10+2 or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or university. The cut-off date for acquiring the required qualification is January 1, 2025.
For ex-servicemen, the minimum educational qualification required is Matriculation.
Additionally, all candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject or an equivalent examination recognized by the Punjab Government on or before January 1, 2025.
Wards of Defense Service Personnel who are bona fide residents of Punjab must either pass a Punjabi language examination equivalent to the Matriculation standard or qualify a test conducted by the Punjab Education Department’s language wing within two years of appointment.
The age limit for candidates is 18 to 28 years as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates.

Punjab Police Constable recruitment 2025: Application fee
The Punjab Police Constable application fee is as follows:
₹700 for SC/ST and EWS category candidates.
₹1200 for General category candidates.
₹500 for Ex-Servicemen of Punjab and Lineal Descendants of ESM.
Punjab Police Constable recruitment 2025: Selection process
The selection process for candidates will be conducted in three stages:
Stage III: Document scrutiny.
Stage I: Two Computer-Based Tests (CBTs) with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) (Paper I and Paper II). Paper II will be qualifying in nature.
Stage II: Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT), both of which are qualifying in nature.
