The Himachal Pradesh Home Guards has declared Recruitment 2026 of 700 posts of Home Guard Volunteer. This will offer candidates seeking government service positions in the state a great opportunity.
The formal announcement has been made on February 23, 2026, and the application process is already open on the internet. Applications can be done in the official site until March 31, 2026.
There are 700 vacancies in various positions. These are 358 posts in General Duty (Men), 167 in General Duty (Women), 74 posts in Bandman, 76 posts in Driver and 25 posts in Technical Tradesman.
In order to apply, candidates should already have passed Class 10, Class 12 or an ITI certificate based on the post. As an example, the General Duty and Bandmen posts demand 10+2 qualification, whereas Technical Tradesmen qualifications demand the ITI certificate on a trade.
The minimum age of the applicants must be 18-50 years on January 1, 2026. The relaxation of age can be given according to the government regulations.
The successful shortlisted candidates will earn an amount of [?]977 on a daily basis. The work is a temporary position yet it has good experience and opportunity to benefit the society.
The selection process will consist of several steps which are Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), written examination and document verification. Other marks can be awarded on the basis of education, NCC and sports performances. The selection will be followed by basic training among the candidates.
The applicants are expected to complete the online form, and attach all the necessary documents. General and OBC applicants are subject to an application fee of [?]200.
