CBSE Class 12 Student: Saxena, originally from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh, had come to Delhi to prepare for the engineering entrance exam while also appearing for his Class-12 exams.
Arjun Saxena, a 16-year-old student from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, had come to Delhi to prepare for the engineering entrance exam while also appearing for his Class 12 exams. Unfortunately, he did not pass in two subjects of the CBSE Class 12 exams, the results of which were announced on a Monday.
Saxena was staying in a paying guest accommodation in East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area. On a tragic note, he was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his rented room. The police were alerted and had to break open the door to access the room.
No suicide note was discovered, leaving behind a mystery as to what led to this drastic step. According to statements from others residing at the paying-guest accommodation, Saxena appeared to be depressed after learning about his exam results.
His family in Etawah was informed of the tragic incident, and Saxena’s body was taken to a mortuary for post-mortem examination. The exact circumstances leading to his decision to end his life remain unclear, highlighting the importance of mental health support for students during challenging times like exam results.
Others residing at the paying-guest accommodation reported that Saxena became despondent following his failure in two subjects of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class-12 exams, the results of which were announced on Monday.
Police have notified Saxena’s family members, and his body has been taken to a mortuary for post-mortem examination.
