AIBE 19: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the schedule and opened registrations for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE 19 or XIX). According to the schedule, the exam is set to take place on November 24, 2024.
Application forms for AIBE 19 can be submitted through allindiabarexamination.com. The registration window, which opened on September 4, will remain open until October 25. The last date to pay the exam fee is October 28, and corrections to submitted application forms can be made until October 30.
Admit cards for the examination will be issued on November 24.
To pass the All India Bar Examination, candidates from general and OBC categories must score at least 45 percent. For SC, ST, and disabled candidates, the minimum passing mark is 40 percent.
Recently, the BCI issued the Certificate of Practice (COP) for the 18th All India Bar Examination (AIBE). This certificate, awarded to those who pass the bar exam, is crucial for legal practice in India, enabling advocates to represent clients in court.
About AIBE 18 exam
The Bar Council of India announced the results of AIBE 18 on March 23. The council noted that seven questions from the examination were withdrawn, so the results were based on 93 questions instead of the original 100. For candidates in the general and OBC categories, the passing marks were calculated as 45 percent of 93, which rounded up to 42 marks. For SC, ST, and disabled candidates, the passing marks were calculated as 40 percent, or 37 marks.
