The Indian Navy has released the Agniveer (MR/Musician) Recruitment 2026 announcement for the 02/2026 (July) entry. The official website will accept online applications from both unmarried male and female candidates between April 11 and April 26 2026. The recruitment process enables candidates with musical ability to apply for positions that require basic educational credentials.
The Class 10 examination requires candidates to achieve 50 percent marks from any recognised board through their completed studies. The candidate needs to demonstrate advanced musical abilities which include singing and playing keyboard and string and wind musical instruments. The applicant must be born between July 1 2004 and December 31 2008.
The selection procedure begins with shortlisting candidates based on their Class 10 results which leads to the Physical Fitness Test and subsequent written exam and music ability assessment and medical assessment. The physical testing procedure requires participants to complete running and push-up exercises along with other essential fitness tests. The written examination will consist of 50 questions which assess candidates knowledge of science and mathematics and general knowledge.
The chosen applicants will begin at a monthly salary of ₹30,000 which will increase annually. The employees will receive allowances and benefits which include risk allowance and travel support and life insurance of ₹48 lakh. After completing four years of service, candidates will receive a Seva Nidhi package.
The selected candidates will start their training program at INS Chilka which is located in Odisha during July 2026. Candidates who join the program must remain unmarried throughout their four-year service commitment.
