Major recruitment drive of 2026 has been announced by the Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board (MPESB) and it will have 1,679 vacancies under a variety of government jobs. These are Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Warder and Assistant Jail Superintendent. This hiring is also an opportunity to the job seekers seeking stable positions within the government in the state.
The online application process commenced on 28 February, 2026 and will still be ongoing up to 30 April, 2026. The interested candidates may apply to the official MPESB website. To prevent rush purposes, it is recommended that the applicants should begin the process early enough before the deadline.
The vacancies are categorized into four. Forest Guard has 728 postings, Field Guard has 169, Jail Warder has 757 and Assistant Jail Superintendent has 25. The eligibility requirements differ according to the position. Applicants to Forest Guard and Field Guard positions have to be of Class 10, whereas Jail Warder positions require Class 12. In the case of the Assistant Jail Superintendent position, it is necessary to have a graduate degree in any subject.
It is an age-restricted application, with the age restriction being between 18 and 38 years on January 1, 2026. Government regulations have age relaxation in case of reserved categories. The wages also vary according to post. Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Warder jobs give a monthly salary of Rs. 19,500-62,000, whereas the Assistant Jail Superintendent jobs pay higher of between Rs. 36,200-1,14,800.
Selection would entail a computer based test, physical tests, document checks and a medical check up. At every stage, the candidates will have to pass in order to be selected.
Before submitting the application, the applicants have to complete the online form, add the necessary documents and pay an application fee. It is also advisable to have a copy of the application form in printed format, which can be used in the future.
