The Reserve Bank of India has released a new recruitment notification for the post of Bank’s Medical Consultant in 2026. This opportunity is offered on a contract basis and is ideal for experienced medical professionals looking for part-time work.
According to the official details, there is only one vacancy available, and it is based at the RBI office in Kohima. Interested candidates must apply through email before the last date, which is April 3, 2026.
To be eligible, candidates must have an MBBS degree from a recognized university under the Medical Council of India. Preference will be given to those who also hold a postgraduate degree in General Medicine. In addition, applicants must have at least two years of experience working in a hospital or clinic.
Another important requirement is location. Candidates should have their residence or clinic within 10 to 15 kilometers of the RBI office in Kohima. This ensures availability for duty when required.
The selected candidate will receive a payment of ₹1,000 per hour during the three-year contract period. Along with this, the RBI will provide ₹1,000 per month for conveyance and ₹1,000 per month for mobile expenses. If the consultant is required to work on public holidays, they will be paid ₹1,000 per hour for those duties as well.
The selection process will be based on an interview followed by medical checks. There is no application fee mentioned in the notification.
