CAT 2024: Online applications for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024), the entrance exam for the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other business schools, will close today, September 13. Candidates who have not yet applied can submit their forms on iimcat.ac.in until 5 pm.
This year, the examination will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. The exam is scheduled for November 24, and admit cards will be released on November 5.
The CAT 2024 results are expected to be announced in the second week of January.

To apply for CAT 2024, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the minimum requirement is 45% or an equivalent CGPA.
Candidates appearing for their final year degree exams or those awaiting results can also apply provisionally.
The CAT 2024 application fee is ₹1,250 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, while it is ₹2,500 for all others.
The CAT 2024 exam will consist of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The exam will last 120 minutes, with 40 minutes allotted per section. Switching between sections during the test will not be allowed.
CAT is the gateway for admission to postgraduate and doctoral business programs at Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and is also accepted by several non-IIM institutions.
