India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: The Department of Communications has opened the online application process for 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) vacancies. Interested candidates can apply for the Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak posts on indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The application deadline is August 5.

Eligibility: India Post GDS 2024
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 40 years. However, reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit.
Educational Qualifications: The minimum educational qualification required is a Class 10th or SSC certificate with passing marks in Mathematics and English. Additionally, candidates must have studied the local language up to at least Class 10.
Other Requirements: Candidates should have knowledge of computers, be able to ride a bicycle, and possess adequate means of livelihood.
Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted for engagement based on a system-generated merit list. This merit list will be created using the marks obtained in Class 10.
The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the GDS portal. Candidates will be notified about the results and dates for physical verification via SMS on their registered mobile numbers and email.
Shortlisted candidates will then need to attend the designated authority for physical verification of documents.
Application Fee: The application fee for the GDS recruitment is ₹100. However, all female applicants, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants are exempt from paying the fee.
Before applying, candidates must have scanned images of their photograph (not exceeding 50 kb) and signature (not exceeding 20 kb) ready in .jpg/.jpeg format.
