Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has issued an official notification inviting applications for the position of Trainee Engineer (Electronics) in its subsidiary, PowerTel.

Qualifications:
Full-Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electronics discipline or equivalent from a recognised University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or Equivalent CGPA
Discipline – Electronics/ Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Electrical Communication / Telecommunication Engg
Age Limit:
Upper age Limit – 28 years as on 19.12.2024
Application fee:
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500, where applicable. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/DESM categories are exempt from paying the application fee.
Selection Process: PGCIL Recruitment
The selection process involves normalized marks obtained (out of 100) in the respective paper of GATE 2024, along with Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion, and a Personal Interview.
Eligible candidates must have qualified for and secured a valid score in the relevant GATE 2024 paper. Shortlisting for Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview will be based on normalized marks out of 100 in the corresponding GATE 2024 paper, following the criteria set by the management.
Candidates will have the option to participate in the Group Discussion and Interview in either Hindi or English.
Service Agreement Bond:
Selected candidates will be required to sign a service agreement bond amounting to ₹5,00,000 for General, OBC (NCL), and EWS categories, and ₹2,50,000 for SC, ST, and PwBD categories. This bond obligates them to serve the Corporation for a minimum of three years upon successful completion of training.
